Throughout the year, Ms. Sitko (College and Career Counselor) hosts evening virtual programs to assist adults and their children as you embark on the process of post-secondary planning. All programs will be posted here within a week of the event.
Understanding NCAA Eligibility (April 2024)
Representatives from the University of Pittsburgh Athletics Office walked us through understanding initial NCAA Eligibility for Divisions I, II, and III. They also provided a glimpse of life as a collegiate athlete.

Skilled Trades Program Discussion
You'll hear from panelists from various trade/technical institutions. Each panelist spent 5-7 minutes discussing the careers their institutions are preparing students for, with particular emphasis on those that are in the most demand.

2024 College Counseling Series
Post-Secondary Education Planning Night
This was a program for parents and guardians to understand the basics of post-secondary planning. College counselors from Moon and Pine Richland High Schools along with guest speaker, Jennifer Winge, Vice President for Enrollment at the College of Wooster, shared tips for a successful launch to your college search process. This was a general presentation for all students who are thinking about attending a four – year college.

Transition to College Informational Meeting
Parents of students with IEP: this is an informational discussion about what you and your child need to know as they apply to college and then matriculate to college. Professionals from four different types of post-secondary institutions share their wisdom on how students with IEPs can successfully navigate the college search and selection process and what the students need to do once they start college.
