Attention girl golfers:  There will be a meeting for players and parents on Thursday, May 21^st at 6:00 p.m. in the high school LGI for girls that are interested in trying out for the Moon Area Girls Golf Team. 

It’s time to start thinking about Homecoming 2026!

With construction taking place on campus, we are shifting our Homecoming festivities a bit, but make no mistake -- they are still going to happen!

With construction beginning on the new secondary campus facilities, the Moonlit 5K will be on hiatus for 2026. So this year, we’re hitting the fairways with a brand new fundraiser — the MAEF Golf Marathon!

Four hundred and twenty-five students, one unforgettable night!  

On Friday April 23^rd the Moon Area Junior-Senior Prom brought the magic of Carnival straight from Rio Di Janero, Brazil to the UPMC Events Center. Students kicked off the night with Promenade at the high school, then headed over to Robert Morris University for dinner, dancing and access to amazing extra activities sponsored by the Prom Parent Committee. 

Moon Area High School has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support (PaPBS) Network for achieving Tier I with Fidelity status for implementing and sustaining school-wide positive behavior interventions and supports (SWPBIS) through the R.O.A.R  program during the 2025-2026 school year.
