Students in the Peer to Peer Cub at the high school went to the freshman homerooms the day before Thanksgiving break to give their November lesson.
This month, MASD freshmen wrote a letter of thanks to one teacher who made a difference in their lives. A big thanks to all the Moon teachers who make a difference every day!
Students from Mr. Palumbo's Honors Cybersecurity and AP Computer Science Principles courses recently visited Penn State Beaver to take part in a student readiness presentation on Artificial Intelligence.
Students attended an interactive presentation on Artificial Intelligence by Dr. Justin Aglio and Emma Hance. Following the presentation, students discussed embracing the positives while weighting the negative and darker uses of Artificial Intelligence.
The Moon Area High School Theatre Department recently held six shows of their fall production of Seussical, which featured more than 200 students across every single MASD school building. Since August, the cast and crew worked tirelessly to bring the magic of Dr. Seuss’ most beloved characters to life on stage and performed for record-breaking crowds.
State Representatives Valerie Gaydos and Anita Astorino Kulik recently took the time to visit Moon Area High School. They shared about their role as a state representative with AP Government and Civics students and then answered their questions.
Thank you to Representatives Gaydos and Kulik for visiting MAHS!
Ms. Ludwig's Child Development 1 students just finished a unit on the development of infants.
As an interactive, enrichment activity, students recently had the opportunity to observe and interact with twin sisters Senna and Aurora! The baby girls are the daughters of former MAHS student Emily DeMaiolo (Haslett). The students really enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with the babies and ask Emily questions about their development.
Thank you to Emily, Senna and Aurora for visiting MAHS!
